AMET Logo Refresh

As a business grows and evolves, sometimes it's necessary to refresh the logo to be more in line with changing objectives and business climate.

Our logo redesign process varies by client and project requirement, but generally includes the following steps:

1 - Start Here & Retain Brand Equity

Obviously, we start with the historic logo (below), determining what we can do to retain visual equity. In this case, we opted to retain the upper case letters and larger 'A' proportions in all our exploration. We also consider usability of the logo, which in this case means being stamped, cut, and fabricated.

2 - explore Brand identity / Logo Design

Starting from the existing logo, and adding a light influence from business objectives and competitor's positioning, we sketch a range of logo options. This step helps identify concepts which communicate the desired message as simply as possible. At the end of our exploration, we provide the best options in an initial digital format for client review.

3 - final Design Direction

Based on client feedback and/or user testing, we refine the logo for final review, then provide final artwork in a range of digital formats. For some clients, this is the final step.

4 - Business Card Design

For many clients, we use the established logo to create business cards, stationery, or collateral. We typically oversee design all the way through production, which may include working with printers to provide press ready digital artwork.

5 - Custom Logo Applications

As a final deliverable, we frequently work with clients to apply their new logo in a way that works for their business. We provide logo formats which import to CAD or Solidworks, making fabrication an easy transition.
